Saturday 4th November 2023
We will all meet up the first evening in the hotel to get to know each other and discuss the plan for the next few days before we head to the bars for a refreshing Everest beer!.  The hotel is very comfortable with European standards and the staff are very friendly and provide us with a superb buffet style breakfast. 

Sunday 5th November 2023
It’s a nice early start to the day as we stroll through the citys quiet streets to Swayambhunath where we take time to enjoy the sun rising uo over Kathmandu. At this ancient religious World Heritage Site, you will take in the heightened atmosphere as the locals come out to make a ritual circumnavigation of the stupa, spinning the prayer wheels set into its base. it really is a magical place early in the morning.

We will then wander back to the hotel for breakfast before continuing our sightseeing of Kathmandu.  We will visit Pashupatinath which is a Hindu Cremation Site located on the river Bagmati, and Binay will take us to the places we really should see to learn about the religion and beliefs they hold here.  There are ample bars and restaurants and you will find Nepalese cuisine very palatable and Nepalese beers very refreshing. The shopping is amazing so make sure you have some space in your suitcase to take home your genuine fake Rab down jacket or North Face fleece. Shop keepers are lovely and not pushy which makes bartering fun.

Monday 6th November 2023
Jeep Journey from Kathmandu to Manegau Village (1500m/ 4921ft)
The journey to the village will take approximately 2:5 hours.  After the chaotic city, life now takes on a different pace. The countryside is so beautiful and green at this time of year and the quietness is very welcome after the noisy city.  We will be met by the villagers who will have prepared a traditional Nepalese lunch for us and we can wander around and settle into our new environment. Please do not expect tables and chairs with waiter service. This trip is about soaking up the culture and living like a native. Accommodation (camping or house) will provided for the next 2 nights.

Tuesday 7th November 2023
The run! The scenery in the village is totally stunning so you will be woken by the sound of the chanting monk who will be blessing the mountains and the runners – you will be itching to get going to explore further. The route will take you in the sacred footsteps of the Grand Master Buddah through the heart of traditional Nepalese villages.  Marshals will be posted around the course making sure you are ok and have plenty of water. Some of the runners last year just took to walking to explore the countryside slowly and take in the flora and fauna and wild life.
After the run we will have a celebration meal cooked by the ladies in the village, and we will enjoy a traditional Nepalese party under the stars.

Wednesday 8th November 2023
After a leisurely breakfast we will head back to Kathmandu where accommodation is again provided for the final night in the hotel.  The afternoon is free for you to get  your last minute shopping
